Self-Care: Why and How
It is always important to do things that make us feel good and these “things” are different from person to person. Oftentimes, people feel better when they keep up with their physical appearance, when they get to spend time relaxing, exercising, and doing activities that they enjoy doing versus those that they need to do. It is harder than ever to practice self-care because we do not have access to our usual routines and activities. That said, it is super important that all adults remember to take time for these practices. Self-care practices are good for our mental as well as physical well-being, and keeping up with ourselves in these respects benefits our families (and our pets), too! The Child Mind Institute provides all sorts of resources for parents.
