Why Self Care Isn’t Selfish
Self-Care: one of the major recommendations of the pandemic was why everyone should focus on it. With little else to do, many people have in fact paid much more attention to self-care in their lives, taking time to focus on themselves, their health-related behaviors, and their stress levels, with an emphasis on improving one’s overall wellness. In a recently published NY Times article, Tara Parker-Pope discusses why self-care isn’t selfish and why it is one of the major behavior changes from the pandemic that we should make sure to carry over once society resumes more typical patterns of daily life.
