More info on helping teens (and their parents) cope during quarantine
Earlier this month, we posted info on the specific challenges that teens are dealing with during this period of isolation. The teenage years are for exploration, developing independence and building upon social networks, interests, etc. However, all of that came to a grinding halt this past month for millions of teens. This has posed challenges for the teens themselves and also for their parents, who must impose restrictions on them that they may not fully understand. This article from the Washington Post provides company to parents by sharing stories of other families facing similar struggles. It also provides more perspective in addition to the info provided earlier this month on our blog page about ways to understand teenagers and support them during this time.
